In service summary by J.W.Knowles 1990
The Mackay QATB purchased a trolley (rail ambulance) for the sub-centre at Sarina, and it arrived at Mackay by sea in May 1918. It's four wooden wheels had iron tyres, and could slide on its axles to allow operation on 2ft or 3ft 6in gauges.
It appeared that the 3.5 hp (2.6km) Hudson motor cycle engine was not new, and that at first it was barely able to move the trolley. By October, however it was giving excellent service, and in three months had covered 900 miles (1448.4km). This vehicle does not appear in the 1925 list.
