1921 - Letter Jas(?) McNamara, Railway Department Charleville 3.11.21 to Commr - refers to Excursion here in aid of Ambulance Rail motor - £368 raised - body available, need fitting flanged wheels and driving power.  (Driver McNamara and Fitter Hollett on Charleville Ambulance Rail Motor Committee).

1922 - QATB 4.2.22 seeking permission for ambulance to run all lines west of Morven, seeking same conditions as for Dalby in Weekly Notice 581 of 28.8.19.

Approved 16.3.22 to supply steel wheels and axle boxes, car being manufactured by Auster Engineering company Limited, Brisbane (wheels to be made by Walkers or other firm.).

Charleville Ambulance Brigade have provided new rail motor which it is proposed to use between Charleville, Morven, Quilpie and Cunnamulla.  Maximum speed 15mph on straight, 6mph on curves. (Weekly Notice 45/22; JA).

Train Notice 1413 Monday 13.11.22 runs Roma St 9.30am, Ipswich 10.40, with guard.

Report Acting Works Manager Chalmers 13.11.22 - car rough riding, window bad fit. Clutch - nuts fell off and car not able to stop at signal at Ipswich.  Crudely built, woodwork not planed.

1923 - Acting GM SWD 13.7.23 - Sports and Races being held Yanna Sunday 29 July in aid of ambulance, Superintendent of QATB asked to be present, he decided to go in Ambulance Rail Car, asked SM Charleville permission who asked for advice.  Need to keep Wyandra staff at Westgate and get line clear for 13 down Monday.  GM proposed to decline.  Note JWD "This car is not to be used for this purpose." 1924 - much trouble with Roma car but the car built by Auster Engineering Co. to same drawing and supplied to our Charleville centre is giving entire satisfaction (File 1948.6803 Batch 11 A/12988, QSA)

1925, 35, 50, 62 - Railmotor ambulance here, may travel lines west of Morven (speed 1935 15mph. 1950, 62 20mph straight, 6mph curves)(GA133,145,160,160)

1928 - Grimsted, Superintendent Charleville QATB and representatives of Standard Motor Co. called on Commissioner 3.9.28, proposed to scrap present ambulance and replace it with more modern car with longer 7ft9in wheelbase.  Commr. advised them to see CME (Chalmers). Chalmers CME 14.9.28 - I confirm that 8ft maximum wheel base for rigid vehicle.
