QR Weekly Notice No.22/26 dated 3/6/1926 –
“Running of Fairmont Trollies – With reference to Rule 569, there are several Fairmont motor trollies in use weighing about 9 cwt. These trollies may be used under the same regulations as ordinary lengthsmen’s trollies, but they should be, as far as possible confined to lengths of line where the traffic is not heavy and where the views of approaching trains are good, and the gangs should not be less than five men.” (Courtesy of DJM)
