QR took delivery of 4 2051 class units, these were in essence a Rail motor however were designed as a centre unit for the 2000 class

2000 class units built including 4 PLDT's and there were 3 main variations.
Even numbers = all pax
Odd numbers = pax + luggage
PLDT's = centre units and all given odd numbers.
PLDT in detail
Powered Luggage Driving Trailer cars - vehicles with two flat ends, and a driving position and a small luggage compartment at one end. This enables the provision of more flexible services by joining 3 or 4 vehicles together
There were 2 batches of 2000 class rail motors, Units 2000 & 2001 were made in Ipswich, rest are ComEng products

The second batch consisted of numbers 2002-2036,2038, 2040, 2051, 2053, 2055, 2057. 150 hp BUT/Rolls Royce built at ComEng These units never existed 2035, 2037, 2039
